Autumn, pants and panel skirts

my workroom
Today I worked on some pants for winter.  They are the same cut as the wide leg linen and cotton pants but they have a yoke front waistband with a cotton lycra back.  This seems to work better with the heavier fabrics than straight cotton lycra and is still really comfortable.  The denim pictured is a nice light-weight black with a little bit of stretch and texture.  To line the yoke I've used some nice vintage cotton.  Because of the stretchy back this waist can still be folded down.

This is a new panel skirt.  It is made from the same light-weight black denim.  The panel is vintage fabric and denim strips woven onto a backing piece then over-sewn to stabilize.

This one is a little simpler, no weaving, just lovely vintage fabric cut, placed and oversewn.
